I’m Shannon Kaye and for as long as I can remember I have been a gatherer with quite a sense of adventure! And I still am.
When I was a kid living in the mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado I used to hike all over collecting bird nests, river rocks, drift wood, pine cones and arrowheads, not to mention digging through the local dump for buried treasures. I would take my stash home and re-decorate my room or make something fun from what I gathered.
I have had the privilege of showing and participating in national art & craft shows, juried fine art shows, and galleries with my unique basketry, gourd sculptures, folk art dolls, handbags, and folded book art.
And from these creative life adventures I have started my blog to inspire others to see found objects with a sense of re-purpose. I will be blogging unique and inspiring DIY projects, posting ‘Do It for Less’ ideas and projects, and featuring inspirational artists and their work.
I would say that my life is like a kaleidoscope – one tiny piece of glass shifts and my world looks totally different… (Usually involving a new art project)!!
Please stop by often
Shannon Kaye
